Kings Weddings at Establishment Bar
When it comes to weddings we’re all about commitment and we promise, no, vow, to not sit the singles table right next to the bar. But, there’s no need when you have this 42 metre-long marble beauty in the centre of the room.
History of Establishment
The Establishment Precinct was created from the remains of George Patterson House, a former department store destroyed by fire in 1996. The building, which was originally designed as an Emporium and Warehouse for a colonial ironmonger in 1895, now stands in two separate sections as a result of the fire.
The new 9-story building, which opened in 2000, retains many of the original grand 19th century features, including statuesque pillars and high timber beams, as well as a preserved section of charred jagged walls and cast-iron columns. These dramatic elements allow visitors to the Establishment to reflect on the unique history of the building.
